- Assisting Litigation on Trust Laws:
I assist litigation attorneys (personal injury attorneys, divorce attorneys, and bankruptcy attorneys, etc.) who (1) try to pierce trusts and attach trust assets; or (2) try to prevent opposing parties from piercing trusts and attaching trust assets.
Although a lot of Washington residents execute trusts, very often their trust agreements lack asset protection features, or the documents include wrong provisions which ruin the asset protection features provided by trust laws simply because drafting attorneys are not familiar with trust laws or asset protection features provided by trust laws. It is just amazing that so many trust agreements have defects that expose trust assets to creditors’ attack easily. I spend a great amount of time researching trust laws and asset protection. It is always advisable for people to involve a trust expert when litigation involves attaching trust assets.
